1. Lake Vyrnwy

Although just over the Shropshire-Wales border, Lake Vyrnwy remains a firm favourite for aerial filming. The vast reservoir, surrounded by dramatic hills and forestry, offers panoramic views that are simply mesmerising from above. The Victorian dam, tower, and still waters make for an unforgettable drone sequence — especially at sunrise or sunset.

2. Much Wenlock Windmill

Nestled in a field above the historic town of Much Wenlock, this old windmill ruin is a striking subject for aerial photography. The stone tower, now weathered by time, stands proudly with sweeping views of the Shropshire Hills in every direction. It’s a perfect blend of history and natural beauty.

3. Stokesay Castle and Church
